Hi ! I am Gabin Bastard,
your future technical designer

As a technical designer, I love creating the best game feel and a smooth experience for players.

I'm particularly drawn to multiplayer games and indies productions. I love imagining captivating gameplay loops and fine-tuning the 3Cs to create memorable gameplay moments.

During my studies, I have worked on many projects of many genres on different game engines. Some of them that I am very proud of and some others that I left unfinished. But I liked working on all of them because of the challenges and unique solutions that they offered me.

I also like doing game jams because of the constraint of time and the theme that forces me to bring creative solutions.

Tools I use

Unity

Unreal Engine 5

GameMaker

Studio 2

Adobe suite

Game jams & freelance

Over the past few years, I have participated in many different game jams. Whether alone or as part of a team, I find it an exciting experience, both from a human and professional point of view. It may seem risky to spend two days with strangers creating a video game based on a theme that can sometimes be quite challenging, but with good listening skills and patience, everything works out in the end.

You can access my jam games and other school projects directly on my itch.io page: https://keromas.itch.io

At the same time, I also do freelance work in game and level design. I mainly work with small studios (mostly international) on one- or two-month assignments. This allows me to develop my skills by challenging myself on projects with set constraints and other people involved.
